There’s such a disconnect in some others’ bodies and their relation to the world I just can’t understand or relate to.

People who are otherwise like me, but who don’t notice the spilled food on their chin, the food between their teeth, the crumbs and dirt on their feet; who don’t see mess until you point your finger at it and explain that this isn’t the default on a countertop. They don’t feel that their hair is super greasy. They don’t notice their own odor. There’s food stuck on their finger and they don’t notice on their own.

All these things drive me insane and I am very aware of them, so this is perplexing. I feel the spilled grain of rice under my sock, I step in a drop and notice, my teeth feel misaligned over a single strawberry seed, and the oil splatters on the stove stick out to me like they’re red paint. My life feels horrible when my hair is greasy and I think I stink before anyone else does.

I just don’t get it. I don’t understand being so dull to what affects your body.
