"nothing ever works out"
"Nothing ever works out!" says the person who leaves everything to other people who can see the catastrophe coming from miles away and jump in to help.
Who procrastinates until the last minute.
Who will always find an excuse other than themselves - the weather, the opening times, the tech, things just magically disappearing etc.
Who assumes all things they need for an appointment will just turn up magically in their hands.
Who thinks they don't ever have to save emails or documents with important info.
Who assumes the printer will print something 10 minutes before they need to leave.
Who assumes they don't need a calendar or an alarm.
Who assumes that they don't have to inform others of any duties or requests until it's too late.
Who assumes they don't have to check the itinerary, the agenda, or the route beforehand.
Who assumes they can book something on a whim.
Who won't look up the parking situation beforehand.
"Nothing ever works out!" says person who always assumes that things will just work out until the moment when all their lack of planning and preparation forces things to fail that wouldn't have failed for anyone else.
Weird how there is always the same person at the center of it.
I cannot even imagine being in the situation to think "Great, now this totally unforeseeable random event that everyone warned me about happened to me that will once again make everyone think I am incapable and stupid. Why does that always happen to me and make everyone think such false things about me?" and even say out loud "Now everyone will think I'm incapable and stupid again."
If you think that, you will literally never learn from these mistakes. So much would already be solved by seeing the connection between your behavior and what it led to. Why is there no lightbulb moment going: "Wow, I really should have set that reminder, I should have messaged people earlier and it was rude to just expect them to comply or be there without notice, I really should do some precarious things like printing well in advance because these things are bound to act up", etc.? Every time, you are told by others what will happen and what you should do, and every time there is this arrogance that you don't need this and they're overly cautious or just don't believe in you.
Well, you have done nothing to show anyone that they can believe in you; if anything, you keep destroying the confidence others have in you. Maybe you are, in fact, incapable and stupid. It's not unfixable, you just have to try.
