irrelevant
It’s irrelevant and not that deep, but sometimes I remember how many people message me that they love my main blog but it’s not on their blogroll, how many say that this or that post inspired them but never link to it on their blog, how one post is clearly a reaction to mine but they don’t post it as reply, or how they ask me if they can post about our email exchange because it was so helpful but never end up doing it. There are people I have calls with, too, that never mention it anywhere. There are people who ask me for details around my site design, implement it and then credit everyone but me. There are people that say they’re “honored that [I] know who [they] are” in my messages but seem like they’re completely removed from me in public. There are people who say on Discord that my website/blog setup inspired them but then on their blog say it was someone else.
There is a lot under the surface. There’s a lot of people I help and that I talk to that never publicly associate with me. They don’t have to. It doesn’t mean much. It’s just interesting to see.
